General product information
The Bear Grinder uses a threadless magnetic system and precision 608 ball bearings for effortless grinding. No jams, no cross-threading, just smooth performance every time.
Two levels of teeth cut and fluff the herb simultaneously, ensuring an even grind and preventing clogging or over-shredding.
Yes — absolutely. The Bear Grinder is designed to last a lifetime of daily use. Each unit is precision-machined from a single solid block of aluminum and built using high-grade materials to meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
Not by default. The Pollen Collector Attachment can be purchased separately at any time and will seamlessly attach using the magnetic latching system. Find your pollen catcher here.
Absolutely. The bearing-assisted system and dual-height teeth make grinding dense or sticky material effortless.
Currently available in one size optimized for balance and portability: 2.64” (67 mm) diameter.
It cuts and fluffs, never pulverizes — preserving texture, potency, and flavor.
Threads usually tend to bind up after a while, causing the two compartments to get stuck together. A magnetic closure eliminates that and allows for easy access to all compartments without effort.
Yes. The even, fluffy grind is ideal for joints, cones, and vaporizers.
No. Every unit is precision CNC-machined, ultrasonically cleaned, and quality tested.
Yes. The bearing system reduces resistance so you can grind smoothly with minimal effort.
Each grinder is machined from a solid block of aerospace-grade aluminum and fitted with stainless steel bearings and high-grade neodymium magnets.
When you purchase a Bear Grinder, it comes as a three piece grinder and includes one Allen key tool. Pollen collectors and any future attachments are sold separately and come in their own packaging.
Maintenance and cleaning information
There are two ways to clean your Bear Grinder — a quick clean and a deep clean:
Quick Clean:
Use a small brush to remove any debris or residue from the teeth and walls of your grinder. For a light refresh, you can dip the brush in a bit of isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher) to loosen sticky buildup, then wipe clean with a cloth.
Deep Clean:
For a full reset, remove the bearing from the grinder first. Then place the aluminum parts only into a container filled with isopropyl alcohol and let them soak for a few hours. After soaking, rinse the parts thoroughly with warm water, dry them completely, and reassemble your grinder.
Cleaning frequency really depends on your personal use. Since the Bear Grinder is highly resistant to buildup that typically causes other grinders to jam or slow down, it doesn’t require frequent deep cleaning. That said, we recommend giving your grinder a deep clean 2–3 times a year to keep it performing like new.
We designed the bearing removal process to be extremely simple.
1. Use the Allen wrench included in your packaging to unscrew the three hex screws on the top of the grinder.
2. Once the screws are removed, lift off the bearing retainer that sits above the bearing.
3. Hold the grinder lid upside down — the bearing will slide right out on its own.
No, you don’t normally need to clean the bearing since its sealed very well from any outside materials. But there are two ways you can refresh it to preform better if need be. The Bear Grinder uses a high-quality SKF 608 bearing, designed for long-term smoothness and durability. There are two ways to refresh it:
1. Lubricate the existing bearing:
Carefully remove the bearing seal and add a few drops of mineral oil to the inner race. This helps restore its glide and make it feel brand new again.
2. Replace the bearing entirely:
You can easily swap it out with any standard 608 ball bearing. Just remove the old one and press the new one back into the grinder.
If your bearing ever stops spinning smoothly, don’t worry — it’s easily replaceable.
You can swap it out with any standard 608-size ball bearing, which is the same type used in skateboards and widely available online or at most hardware stores.
Just remove the old bearing and press the new one in — your grinder will be back to perfect in seconds.
The Bear Grinder uses a standard 608-size ball bearing, the same type commonly used in skateboards and other common products.
To replace it, simply remove the old bearing by unscrewing the 3 screws on the lid, remove the bearing retainer and remove the old bearing. Press a new 608 bearing into place — no special tools or adjustments needed.
These bearings are widely available online or at local hardware and skate shops, making replacement quick and easy.
